"The Empire Series" by Tim Goff

THE BOOKS

EMPIRE: COUNTRY – First Book of the EMPIRE series
Revised Edition

Like ‘Game of Thrones' was written by Lovecraft!

Winning the demon war was the easy part. Rebuilding the Empire is
a nightmare.

Two years after the war, wealthy commoner Tia Samos comes to a backwater barony hunting for a suitable highborn husband. She finds an impoverished province stalked by a monster straight out of legend. Still, the baron is decent enough, so she decides to linger a bit – then matters go from 'bad' to 'terrifying.'

Fortunately, she has her knightly protector Sir Peter Cortez, and her oafish carriage driver Kyle for protection. But even they might not be a match for the evil stalking the countryside…

EMPIRE: CAPITAL – Second Book of the EMPIRE series

Revised Edition!

Like Lovecraft wrote an episode of Game of Thrones!

Winning the demon war was the easy part. Rebuilding the Empire is
a nightmare.

Tia traveled to the imperial capital two years after the war to testify at the trial of a traitor tied to eldritch abominations. She remained to court the rowdy knightly heroes roaming the palace halls, hoping to snag a highborn husband. But now she is plagued with strange visions even as she is engulfed in palace intrigues.

Worse, Tia's protector Sir Peter Cortez is partying with the knights she is dating, her mischievous maid Rebecca is in trouble with the palace staff, and her oafish carriage driver Kyle is drinking himself to death in the castle cellars.

Then the bodies start piling up…

Books 3 to 6 include:

Empire: Estate

Empire: Metropolis

Empire: Spiral

Empire: Judgment

And for those people who prefer to just buy everything at once, you can also purchase "Empire: The Complete Collection".

EMPIRE: ESTATE

Winning the demon war was the easy part. Rebuilding the Empire is a nightmare.

Two years after the war, Tia travels to Copiah House, the stronghold of the once-
powerful Bestia Family on a simple business trip. Instead, she finds herself
enmeshed in intrigue, confronted with forbidden sorcery, and in possession of
dangerous wartime secrets.

Worse, Tia's knightly protector Sir Peter Cortez is drafted by the Bestia Patriarch
for a private mission, and her oafish carriage driver Kyle is preoccupied with his
family's politics.

Can they unravel this tangle before catastrophe strikes?

EMPIRE: METROPOLIS

Corber Port – Commercial center and largest metropolis in the tottering Solarian
Empire – and a city in turmoil following an earthquake and fire that reduced a fifth
of the city to charred rubble.

Tia Samos, once a prominent member of Solaria's middle class, is held captive in
this urban wasteland by demons masquerading as mortal men. Tia’s former
companions – Sir Peter Cortez, Kyle, and Rebecca – scour the city for her but are
stymied at every turn.

Worse, an alliance of fanatics is plotting to unleash a new catastrophe upon Corber
Port – and the only ones who might be able to prevent it are Tia's captors…if they
choose to do so…

EMPIRE: SPIRAL

A half-open portal to a demon world sits in the middle of Corber Port, the largest
metropolis in the Solarian Empire. Should it fully open, the city dies.

Tia Samos and her companions Sir Peter Cortez and Kyle are captives in an alien
city on the Door's other side. Surviving will take everything they have. Even then,
escape may be impossible. But they will try anyway…

Meanwhile, Tia’s former maid Rebecca finds herself recruited into a desperate
effort to seal the Door – but her allies may be as dangerous as the demons they
seek to escape.

EMPIRE: JUDGMENT

The avatar of an evil god is putting the Solarian Empire on trial for their crimes
against the demon world. Acquittal isn’t an option. Neither is survival.

Tia opposed this dark deity in the past. Now she works for him, as do her
companions Sir Peter Cortez and Kyle. They seek to rebel against the mystic
chains that bind them to the demon's service – a task that may well be impossible.

Meanwhile, Tia’s former maid Rebecca travels the world with imperial agents,
looking for some means to avert the doom that hangs over them all.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Roger Sandri writes his first drafts by pencil and paper in beautiful southern New England because too much screen time strains his eyes, unless he’s procrastinating on Instagram as @roger_sandri_wordslinger. He does warehouse work by day and writes (sometimes) by night. Feel free to shoot him a DM on his page and quote his muse Lorraine by saying, “Write faster, damnit,” to motivate the lazy bugger.

Roger would rather read fantasy or horror novels, watch hockey, play Diablo II for the ninetieth time, or build model airplanes than have his picture taken for an author bio. Some theorize he may be part-Sasquatch, but honestly he doesn’t want to scare readers with his appearance—only his writing. If one should encounter him in the wild, approach slowly and bring up the aforementioned subjects.

Otherwise, he generally speaks an odd assortment of grunts and is attempting to learn German as part of his desire to see Austria.

He has two feline writing supervisors, a longhair tortie named Camilla and a black shorthair named Bella Lugosi. The many tales Roger plans to write all blend in elements of horror, no matter the main genre, so the cats’ diligence in ensuring their owner’s pencil doesn’t create too many character deaths is hopefully appreciated by you, dear reader.
