"Thieves' Honor" by David Combs

An Ancient evil preys upon the great port city of Tarnath. Terror grips the citizens as aristocrats and commoners alike disappear into the night’s shadows.

A foreign nobleman with a personal score against the “Dockside Slayer” offers three condemned men the chance to save their own lives. Before they can stop the Killer though, a mage with doubts about his own power, a barbarian warrior always in the wrong place and time, and an arrogant cutpurse without caution must first overcome their own differences if they are to prove that there is such a thing as Thieves' Honor.

From the Author

"I have always known that I wanted to be a writer. Ever since I was a kid, my imagination bounded with stories of magic, heroes, and grand adventures. As a teenager, I began putting some of those flights of fantasy down on paper. My goal was to enter the publishing world until I could survive strictly as an author.

Life has a funny way of changing your plans though, and the great literary career I envisioned stalled. For too many years, half-finished tales sat in dusty boxes waiting to be taken up once again. Finally, after some much needed motivation took root, I once again decided that it was time to pursue that which I was so passionate about-storytelling.

Thieves' Honor is the first achievement in what I hope becomes a long list of stories that I can share with those of you who are so graciously taking your own time to read this. For me, it has always been about sharing an adventure with those who wanted to hear it. It was the thrill of being able to go to my own bookshelf and see my name gracing the spine of a book there.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting the daydreams of kid whose head has never left the clouds."

Sincerely,

Dave Combs

Then a Sovereign’s unchecked rage cleaved the world in two and stole the only person who ever truly knew her.

She should have drowned in grief.

Instead, she sharpened her knives.

When her mentor rises at the head of a growing Resistance, August refuses to stand aside. But war offers no clean lines, and patience runs thin. Desperate for answers, she infiltrates the palace of a powerful Sovereign, stepping straight into the shadows of the magic that destroyed her world.

But something ancient stirs in her blood—something the Fallen Stars would kill to possess.

In a realm unraveling with secrets, magic, and betrayal, August will stop at nothing to protect the people she loves—even if it takes everything she has, even if everyone else gives up.

On the eve before their anticipated wedding, tragedy strikes. Genevieve is accused of a crime that threatens to unravel the fragile peace her father has worked his whole life to complete.

Armed with only a strange dagger and her unwavering determination, she flees her kingdom, embarking on a perilous journey to clear her name and unearth the truth. "Battle for Whiterock" by Jeff Miller

When a test of knighthood turns deadly, courage is no longer enough.

In the world of Whiterock, dragons are trained, battles are rehearsed, and faith is expected to be unshakable. For Prince Aiden and his fellow squires, a final trial should mark the beginning of honor and duty. Instead, it awakens an ancient threat thought long extinct and leaves brotherhood fractured by loss.

As worgraiths return to the realm, Aiden is forced into a fight far greater than any test of skill. Grief, fear, and rage collide with questions he has never dared to ask: What happens when faith does not bring comfort? What happens when prayer feels unanswered? And what kind of leader emerges when belief is tested by fire?

Filled with dragons, mythical creatures, epic battles, and the weight of destiny,
Battle for Whiterock is a young adult fantasy adventure that blends sweeping action with emotional depth. It explores loyalty, sacrifice, and the struggle to hold on to faith when everything familiar begins to fall apart.

Written for mature teen readers, this faith-based fantasy delivers high-stakes drama without simple answers, inviting readers into a world where courage is costly , and belief is earned, not assumed.

From the Author Jeff Miller

"I grew up at the perfect time for cultivating a great imagination. Superman (the movie) was the first film I ever saw in a theater. He, along with the whole Justice League, jumped from the TV set and into my living room every Saturday morning. Star Wars was on the big screen (even on our home screen with our 8mm home movies), on my little kiddie record player (including John Williams' scores) and the Star Wars toys exercised my creativity, as did G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, and the aforementioned Justice League gang. Other comic book heroes jumped off the pages and onto the TV Saturday mornings and weekday afternoons while Indiana Jones, E.T., Marty McFly, Doc Brown and the crew of the Enterprise played repeatedly on my VHS. Now, I get to exercise that childlike love for heroes, villains and adrenaline as an adult by bringing fast-paced fantasy adventure to today's kids with a strong Christian message of love and redemption. Please join me in this pursuit to teach Christ to a whole new generation using the art of story."

Tull, a legion auxiliary, is desperate to earn enough cash to get out of the back end of beyond.

Together they must form a shaky alliance to stem an army of undines, and prevent a powerful shaman from unleashing a dangerous power.

Abalone - A continent cut off from the rest of the known world. Fragments of the nations of the races of humanity found themselves cut off from their homelands by an impenetrable wall of mist that rose from the surrounding ocean, almost overnight. Others force a path to a new future, often through the lands and lives of their neighbours.

"War of the Four: The Twin Schism" by D. J. Dempsey

Sun. Sea. Sky. Stone.
Four tales, fated for war.

Seven hundred forty-one turns of the solar season ago, a fragment of a celestial star descended upon the Plane. Or so the story was told.

From its crater emerged a storm so devastating that only the bravest of knights, Rondor the Royal, dared venture to its source. What he discovered changed the Plane forever.

Upon contact with the fallen star, the storm ceased—its celestial essence coursed through his body with a pulse, granting him the authority to command all elements of the Plane. Rondor forged the foreign substance into what became known as the Staff of Azil and used its power to bring peace to his fractured homeland.

Generations of inheritance later, however, Rondor’s progeny strayed from his virtue. Rexam’s reign with the staff unleashed the most perilous period the Plane had ever known, subjugating all four regions under his mighty conquest. Only when Rexam’s younger brother, Regnam, rose to lead the rebellion did the devastation finally come to an end.

Wielding this reclaimed power, Regnam chose instead to reforge the Staff of Azil and divide its essence among the Plane’s four great leaders. Thus, the amulons renowned today—the Sunspear, Seatrident, Skybow, and Stonehammer—were created, each capable of conducting one of the four principal elements.

But as these tales of the Plane will tell, peace divided doesn’t always remain that way.

"War of the Four" is a military fantasy / coming of age story by D. J. Dempsey.

"The Balance Between Wings" by Guinevere Atlas

In a world where magic is a chronic condition, the heaviest things we carry are our own wings.

For Lira, having wings isn't a divine gift—it's a diagnosis. On the mist-shrouded docks of Catalina Island, the separation between the mundane and the magical is razor-thin. But for those like Lira, born with the heavy, aching burden of flight, life is a constant performance of masking the pain. She has spent her life dreading "The Rite," the bureaucratic ritual that governs her kind, all while trying to exist in a world that romanticizes her suffering.
The only tether keeping her grounded is Caliel. He is the shadow on the dock, the quiet constant in her chaotic storm. He has watched her struggle in silence for years, waiting for the moment she would let him in. As the weight of her wings threatens to crush her, Lira must decide if she can trust him with the ugly, unvarnished truth of her existence—or if showing her brokenness will shatter the only safe place she has left.
"The Balance Between Wings" by Guinevere Atlas is a haunting Gothic Romantasy short story by Guinevere Atlas. Weaving together magical realism and the raw realities of living with invisible pain, it is a hymn for the neurodivergent, the chronic warriors, and anyone who has ever had to hide their true shape to survive.
About the Author

Guinevere Atlas is a Gen Z indie author and the founder of Celestial Heroine Books. Writing at the intersection of Gothic Romantasy and dark speculative fiction, she weaves stories for the neurodivergent, the chronic warriors, and anyone who has ever felt too heavy for their own wings.

A New York-based creative, Guinevere blends her love for dark academia, astrology, and spicy fantasy into worlds where the monsters are often just misunderstood. When she isn't writing about aching wings and misty docks, she is likely analyzing birth charts or curating the perfect playlist.
